Background and History
Development over the next 100 years included comprehensive testing facilities for consumer products in general, including electrical, toys, textiles, apparel, furniture and sports goods. In the late 1960's a facility was specifically developed to provide testing services, under contract to the UK Department of Health, for the inspection and testing of dispensed medical devices. In 1983 the Chamber of Commerce Laboratory merged with Altrincham Laboratories (est. 1965), one of the UK's foremost independent metallurgical testing facilities. AMTAC Laboratories Ltd was established, creating the nucleus of the AMTAC Group of Companies. ONE OF EUROPE'S FOREMOST LABORATORIES |
