| Cycles, Sports and Leisure Equiptment AMTAC are one of Europe's longest established, UKAS accredited facilities, for the testing of Cycles, Sports & Leisure equipment. Key activities include the testing and certification
for safety and compliance with Retailer, UK Statutory and European regulations
and standards.
The UK Consumer Protection Act applies to virtually all consumer products. Where product specific legislation does not exist (unlike toys, cycles, medical devices, domestic electricals etc. that have product specific legislation), then the General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR) apply. Where the legislation is based upon a European 'New Approach' Directive, then the product will also need to bear the European 'CE Marking'. An AMTAC Data sheet "Compliance
